I’m a web designer with a versatile background in web, print and environmental graphic design. I have over a decade of experience that runs the gamut from large offices to startups, including running my own business. Most recently, I was Lead User Interface Designer for MyFamily.com (TGN / Ancestry.com), and a UI / UX designer for Classmates.com.
I especially enjoy being involved in the strategy behind the visual design – not just the ‘what,’ but also the who, how, and why. It‘s this big picture view that’s helped me find a natural fit with experience design and strategy. My goal is to deliver useful, simple, and memorable design solutions that help people and businesses achieve their goals.
When I’m not in front of a computer, I enjoy doing home renovation projects or occasionally indulging an addiction to Legos.
In reviewing potential job candidates for a recent hire, two of my co-workers whipped out their iPhones to review the candidates’ portfolios. Predictably, the portfolio sites didn’t perform well.
Though not designed specifically for the iPhone, I’ve created my new portfolio site in a narrow, long-page format to better accommodate the iPhone. Like most designers’ sites, this site is (and will always be) a work in progress.
